Friends, I need your opinion here.
Saddened and more than a bit shocked to learn that there are people who don't appreciate the annual countdown and don't get my sense of humor. If you know me at all then you know that it's all in fun, at least for the most part. Usually, they are funny or sarcastic or have to do with something a friend is going through, in which case, I might or might not tag a friend or two in that particular post. Not every post is about me, personally. ( ... If they are about you, then it's our own secret joke). Sometimes they are just about teaching in general, or the weather, or dogs, or kids, or getting old, or being tired, and whiny. Wait! Those last three things ARE about me. (And if you know me, then you know how happy it made me to use all those commas just now). No, not every single countdown post is funny. There were a couple of sad ones when my world was rocked by the death of a student I'd had for 3 years and I was having to deal with her classmates who were too young to lose a friend and I was overwhelmed by having to go on with business as usual when I felt like I couldn't breathe or think. The Lady's Sickly Husband
I'm just not sure what to think about this.
SO, I'm taking a poll - keep the countdown or lose it? Please give me your opinion.
In the meantime - Happy First Day of Summer Part 2!
35 down, 148 to go.
